More Boat-Building Fun
Did you make the sailboat and try the rudder experiment in this month’s issue of Click? Did you try the cargo-loading experiments?
Here are some more boat-building ideas.
- Make sails in different shapes and sizes. Which one works best?
- What happens if you blow on your sailboat from different directions?
- Take several pieces of aluminum foil, all the same size, and make each one into a different-shaped boat. You might fold one piece of foil to make it thicker and stronger. You might make one boat with high sides and another with a wide bottom. Make sure there are no leaks in your boats, then place them in water and start loading them with marbles. Which boat holds the most marbles?
