"Happy Animal Families" Game Instructions
Here are some more ways to play this month's takeout game "Happy Animal Families."
- If you are asked for cards from an animal family, instead of giving all your cards from that family, give the asking player just one. The asking player can then ask you or a different player for another card from the same family or from a different family.
- Instead of asking for cards from an animal family, players must ask for a specific member of the family. For example, you might ask, “Do you have a fawn?” instead of “Do you have any deer?”
- Keep playing until all the cards have been grouped into families. If a player runs out of cards, she takes five cards from the center pile (or the entire pile if it has fewer than five cards). If the center pile runs out, a player can’t keep looking. His turn ends when someone does not have the animal family he asked for.
