The Big Book of Things That Go

DK Publishing, 1994
The text is clear and descriptive, but it’s the 100-plus photographs of vehicles that really set this book apart. Each spread focuses on a different category, and each photo is accompanied by a short description. The cutout treatment of the photos is especially effective, as it gets rid of the background and allows readers to focus on the most interesting part—the car, train, or boat.
