This well-illustrated, fact-filled reference book organizes 48 different animal homes into groups of 4 under such headings as Ready-made homes, Tunnel builders, Weavers, and Temporary homes. Each group gets its own double-page spread, and another spread presents a world map showing where all the animals live. Although the text is clearly written and interesting, there are too many examples to absorb in one sitting, and the book is probably best read a spread or two at a time rather than straight through.
